Experimental Validation (2026) Bellaterra Laboratory
Applus+ Laboratories / Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Spain
• Mechanical characterization of SLB dampers (specimens tested from the Shear Link Bozzo / BDSL series, covering heights of 30, 45 and 60 cm and thicknesses of 29 and 34 mm).
• Full stability at displacements of ±100 mm (reaching maximum actuator strokes of up to ±100 mm and isolated cycles of up to 150 mm, with load capacities of up to 995.49 kN).
• Verification of hysteretic capacity and energy dissipation (validated through pseudo-static cyclic fatigue testing to failure and continuous fatigue testing of more than 4,900 cycles without failure).
Summary of key parameters:
-
Laboratory: Applus+ Laboratories (LGAI Technological Center S.A., Bellaterra, Barcelona).
-
Report date: 25 March 2026 (testing carried out between 16 January and 19 March 2026).
-
Load and stroke range tested: Actuator of up to ±1,000 kN (100 tonnes / +85 t) and ±100 mm of stroke.
-
Maximum load recorded: 995.49 kN in tension and −1,016.65 kN in compression (model BDSL30_34_3).
